AdvanceED involves a team of educators led by Dr Mirella Olivier.

Dr Mirella Olivier is the founder of BRAINways Education, organization which has provided learning opportunities for gifted and talented students for over 15 years. Based on a reputation of outstanding National and International success, AdvanceED is built on decades of gifted education experience and on a deep understanding of learning, as well as social-emotional needs of gifted students.

Dr Mirella Olivier is a qualified medical doctor with extensive experience within the hospital and private practice setting. She completed a Master of Health Science (Deakin University) and started her studies towards receiving a PhD (LaTrobe University).

As part of her Masters Degree, Mirella completed Health Education and Communication training (Deakin University) which was followed by her academic involvement in teaching the unit to Health Sciences students. She presented seminars for elite and recreational athletes, school and university students, as well as for the general population, mostly on health related topics.

Aside from her professional expertise, Mirella has brought an understanding resulting from her experience as a mother of two gifted children.

Mirella completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Education (University of Queensland), with specific focus on gifted education. This was followed by more than fifteen years experience in creating programs and designing curriculum for gifted and talented students of all ages.
